Number 1

Ok, so, I have decided my first "thing" will be something that is challenging. Well, to me anyways. It comes easily for some people apparently, but I am NOT one of those people.

I am going to get myself and my family into a routine. Not a SCHEDULE because I have two small children and that would be setting myself up for a disaster, but a routine.

First I am going to try doing it on my own. There are lots of sites to help you do this (which makes me feel better because that tells me I'm not all alone) but I want to try what I believe will work for MY family.

I am also going to try to ease us into it rather than just jumping it. Makes sense to me, we'll see how it goes.

So, here is how it will look, this week.

Monday: Take Brian to work at 7, go back to sleep until 9, play on the computer until 10, eat breakfast then clean the house until lunch at 12, clean the house until 3:30 then get Hannah ready for ballet at 4:30, pick Brian up from work at 5:30, dinner, bath, bed by 9

Tuesday: Wake up at 8, play on the computer until 9, breakfast then clean the house until lunch at 12, clean the house until 5:30 when I start dinner, bath kids in bed by 8, me in bed by 9

Wednesday: Wake up at 8, computer to 9, breakfast, clean to lunch, clean to 5:30,eat, leave for church at 6, home by 9, bed.

Thursday: Wake at 8, computer to 9, breakfast, clean to lunch, clean to 5:30, eat, bath, kids in bed by 8, me in bed by 9

Our weekend starts on Friday, and its VERY hard to keep a schedule on the weekend, so for now I am going to try to stick to those days and then worry about the weekend.

Of course throughout the day I will also be taking care of the kids. snacks, diaper changes, entertainment, whatever they need. I am hoping that once I get the house more organized I can set aside a specific time of the day where all I do is sit down and play with them. I will also need a specific time for working on lessons. sooo...I still have a long way to go :P

  1. Chelle,
I love it! I have an interjection, however. You need to insert dance time into your kiddo time...I know how much you like that. I never could get the kids to dance as much after you left.
